Driftwood Workshop by Alexander Curtius

In the wild nature of the Engadin, we will search together for an interestingly shaped and overgrown wood found at the beginning of the course.

In my studio above Scuol, we will further process these findings. You will use carving knives, rasps and sandpaper to transform the grown wood into a finely crafted sculpture.

The special attraction and challenge lies in conjuring up the implied form that lies dormant in this piece. This requires an attentive eye. Previous knowledge is not necessary, as you will learn the respective techniques from scratch.

The duration of the course is calculated so that you have enough time for breaks and conversations over coffee and lunch.
